“Every eligible voter must be reached and given the opportunity to participate in the SIR process.” — Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam

Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam reviewed the progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) with District Magistrates through video conference. More than 19 lakh enumeration forms had been distributed across Uttarakhand within the first three days. Champawat, Almora and Pithoragarh were appreciated for their strong progress, while Dehradun, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar were directed to accelerate form distribution.
